More than 78% of Vietnamese choose "sex toys should not be banned"

According to the survey results "Do you think sex toys should be banned " on Thanh Nien Online , 78% of survey respondents chose "should not be banned".

The survey was conducted by Thanh Nien Online in parallel with the long-running series Sex Toys in the Run . From September 9 to 11 a.m. September 12, 3,051 readers participated in the survey (the number of participants continues to increase). Of which, 2,383 people (78.11%) have the same opinion that "sex toys should not be banned". The series of long-running articles has only been published in 4 episodes, and has attracted great attention from readers.

Articles in this Escape Sex Toy series , from the first period: The Beginning and the Endless Controversy , Part 2: Stress Relief but Beware of Cancer , Part 3:  In the Chinese Factory and Part 4:  Deciphering the 'dark corner' of the Japanese  has also received many mixed opinions from readers.

Many readers believe that modern society should and should receive sex from a scientific perspective, as an essential need such as food, clothing, shelter, etc. . Each person has a different way of life, so there will also be different ways to satisfy physiological needs. Sex toys are tools to satisfy those physiological needs, so there's no reason to ban them.

Nickname Hoang Hoc wrote: “I read in the article that Alabama (USA) prosecutor William H. Pryor: People do not have the right to buy a device that induces orgasm. Why? If I say sex helps me balance my life, and sex toys help me orgasm, is that wrong? That's absurd and doesn't respect human rights."

A reader in Hanoi expressed: “The sex game trade should be made public and introduced to everyone, especially minors. Vietnamese people should learn Japanese. Using safe sex toys under medical control and psychologist's control does not affect your health, maybe prostitution will be reduced, family breakdown will be reduced... ".

Reader Van Hung has the same opinion: "In Japan, red-light districts or places that sell this kind of stuff are openly sold, but you have to be old enough to buy, and the government can control them more easily. India, on the other hand, banned it for fear of destroying human morality. But in reality, is the situation of rape as serious in Japan as it is in India? If there is demand, there will be supply. Shouldn't be banned, humans have to have a need to be able to resist ...".

In addition to the consensus opinions, there are also many objections to allowing sex toys to be legally and openly traded in Vietnam.

Nickname Tan Trieu harshly: "You are living in Vietnam, but why are you thinking about going to Japan? The sex industry in Japan is very developed, but besides that, Japan's intellectual population is also very high. Vietnam has been like that? What percentage of young people are properly aware of sex, sex toys, control their actions? If sex dolls are openly sold on the street, I don't know if young people's sexual awareness will be enhanced or worse."

As one of 28% of respondents who opposed the sale of sex toys, nickname Thanh Nga wrote: "In the past, I accidentally read the question 'should I buy sex toys for my boss' on a social network. Forum. I was really startled! Are our people so advanced? I just think like this, from time immemorial, whatever goes with nature is better than going against it. Sex is a matter of two people. And if we encourage a person to indulge himself with sex toys, we will have a generation of depression and autism in the future."
